Goodbye Cracked Lips- DIY Lip Scrub

14 Jul

I LIVE in matte lipstick, so flaky lips are a no-no. I make a variation of this to keep my lips soft and my lipstick smooth!

Beautiful and Balanced

IMG_3819Whether it’s the middle of a freezing winter or  blazing summer time, I can’t seem to ditch chapped lips. Mine are constantly cracked and hurting. Yuck.

I’ve experimented with many different types of lip scrubs but this one has definitely worked the best for me. Brown sugar, coconut oil and honey. Yummmmy!

I do a big scoop of the brown sugar into a cute little mason jar or something small with a lid, pour in the coconut oil then top it off with a big glob of honey. Mix it on up and use your fingers or a lip gloss brush to smudge it all over.

This stuff works wonders.

Anyone else have this chapped/cracked lip prob all the time?! Please share what you do to fix it!

11 Signs You Have Chronic Resting Bitch Face

I am not a bitch but my face would tell you otherwise.

In 2009, I was self-diagnosed with CBF: Chronic Bitch Face. The disease often lurks on innocent girls who are genuinely happy with their lives, but once they contract it, it is almost impossible to recover.

The disease is not discriminatory to age, so any girl could become infected. The beginning stages of CBF affect the girl’s facial expression with symptoms such as emotionless eyes, raised eyebrows, and/or a harsh face. If not caught early, the disease can in fact affect the way a girl walks, making her look like she has a stick up her ass.

I have battled to overcome many obstacles over the past 6 years with this debilitating sickness since I look like an effin’ asshole 90% of the time.

If I am not smiling and/or laughing, my face screams, “I’m…

21 Unexpected Things You Have To Deal With When Canceling Your Wedding

20 Feb

I remember when this happened to me, I had only one step: Cry and not eat for two weeks. The end.

When I called off my wedding a thousand years ago, it seemed like the end of the world. It also seemed like I had taken on a second career with the overwhelming amount of tasks required to unfold a nuptial disaster. In addition to being heartbroken, we were living together and hadn’t ended the relationship. Altogether, I felt paralyzed, embarrassed and like I was the only person in the world that had ever been dumped before her wedding day. Everyone around me was falling in love, moving in together and planning their own successful weddings where the groom wanted to show up. How could this have happened and how on earth do you go about unwinding the momentum of something as big as a wedding once the decision’s been made to call it off?

Here’s a quick guide of where to start:

1. Gather your army.

The Belle Jar

Leigh Anne “That Nice Woman Sandra Bullock Played In The Blind Side” Tuohy recently posted the following picture and caption on her Facebook and Instagram accounts:

We see what we want! It’s the gospel truth! These two were literally huddled over in a corner table nose to nose and the person with me said “I bet they are up to no good” well you know me… I walked over, told them to scoot over. After 10 seconds of dead silence I said so whats happening at this table? I get nothing.. I then explained it was my store and they should spill it… They showed me their phones and they were texting friends trying to scrape up $3.00 each for the high school basketball game! Well they left with smiles, money for popcorn and bus fare. We have to STOP judging people and assuming and pigeon holing people!…

Four-Twelve, Stolen Coats, and We Like To Party

19 Dec

The holidays are here and I am FINALLY getting into the Christmas spirit!  While I was drunk with Christmas spirit a week or so ago, I made a status about wanting to throw a Christmas party and forgot all about it.  That was until J called me at work and asked what was up with the party on Saturday.  So on Saturday, J and I are throwing our first ever Christmas party.  Thoughtful man he his, the first question out of his mouth was, “Do you want me to call the house cleaning service?” Uh, does a bear shit in the woods?
