Last Saturday I attended a local art gallery and studio called The Workhouse in Lorton to evaluate art for one of my papers. The Workhouse is the former Lorton Prision that has been converted into an art gallery and studio space. They hold pottery and painting classes there for adults and children. There are also various artists that display and creat their work there.
I discovered the beauty of fiber work and saw some amazing acrylic paintings by The Art Monkeys, local group that creates American and Latin pop art. If you are ever in the area check it out!
