Toddler Meltdown

Wow! What a morning!!! I’m writing this on the commuter bus en route to work. My son has always been an early riser but as he is getting older he is sleeping a little later, by later I mean until 6am. That’s great if he would do it on Saturday morning, but on the weekdays, I struggle to get him out of bed. This morning he had a meltdown of epic proportions over….brushing his teeth. First he demanded to do it his self but when I gave him the toothbrush he just stood there giving me angry eyes. Because I like to get to work on time I took the toothbrush and started brushing his teeth. This is where everything went left. He jumped off his stool and ran into his room screaming like a maniac. Then he did a toddler bed slide and I just stood there looking at him like, “Really?” His teeth eventually (ten minutes later) got brushed and he apologized by offering his apple juice before I took my medicine. I guess that makes it better……
